Wild ShapeEdit

For most druids, wild shape is limited to small or medium mammals with hit dice equal to or less than the druid's class level. Reptilian druids (lizardfolk, kobolds) are instead able to change into small or medium reptiles. Avian druids (raptorans) are instead able to change into small or medium birds.

In addition, a druid must have a fetish, totem, or talisman of the animal in question before he is able to wild shape into it. This talisman must incorporate a bit of the creature harvested by the druid himself (though the piece can have come from a living or dead specimen) as well as rare herbs and unguents. The cost of such a talisman is 10g per hit die of the subject creature. (Note that this is a way for a druid to gain the ability to wild shape into advanced, templated or otherwise higher-hit die versions of an animal.) The talisman is not consumed when the druid wild shapes, but it must be on his person at the time of the wild shape.

Druid OrdersEdit

At 7th level, a druid must select the order to which he wishes to belong. These orders include, but are not limited to:

  • Order of the Bear: The druid gains the ability to wild shape into a brown bear.
  • Order of the Pack: The druid gains the ability to wild shape into a dire wolf.
  • Order of the Claw: The druid gains the ability to wild shape into a tiger.
  • Order of the Talon: The druid gains the ability to wild shape into a dire hawk.
  • Order of the Flame: The druid treats flame strike as a 3rd-level spell.

In general, the druid gains the ability to transform into a large mammal of CR 4 or less, or a bird, reptile, or fish, of CR 3 or less, or gains the ability to treat a single 4th-level druid spell as a 3rd-level spell. The orders presented above are meant to serve as examples. Other orders are possible; consult with your DM.
