Minor ArcanaEdit

These are all minor magical enhancements that the mage can take. Each provides only a very small mechanical benefit.

Breath of Ice: The wizard's breath gains the bite of the arctic. As a standard action, he may extinguish any nonmagical flame of 5' square or less, or he may deal 1d3 nonlethal cold damage to an adjacent square.

Mage Sight: The wizard has detect magic always active.

Mind over Matter: The wizard picks a single STR- or DEX-based skill. Henceforth, he may apply his INT bonus to that skill instead of his STR or DEX bonus. The mage may choose to apply this minor arcana to generic STR- or DEX-based checks instead of a particular skill.

Terrifying Visage: At will, the wizard may cause a minor illusion of a terrifying visage to cover his face. Against creatures who can see him, the wizard may add his INT modifier to Intimidate checks.

Touch of Fire: The wizard may cause his hand to become wrapped in fire. His hand sheds light as a torch, and he may make attacks as if he were wielding a torch.


Moderate ArcanaEdit

Animagus: The mage chooses a single animal with a CR of 2 or less. He may transform into that animal once per day for up to ten minutes. All of his equipment melds into his body and becomes nonfunctional. He may not cast spells while in this form.

Arcane Sustenance: The wizard no longer needs to eat or drink. He derives all of his sustenance through magic.

Innate Spell: The wizard may choose any 1st-level spell he knows. He gains that spell as a spell-like ability, usable at will.

Scorn Earth: The wizard's feet no longer touch the ground; he floats two inches off the ground wherever he goes. This power does not save him from falls, but he may ignore difficult terrain and may cross liquid as though it were solid. DCs to track the wizard are increased by 20.

Spell Secret: The wizard may choose any 0-, 1st- or 2nd-level spell from any spell list and add it to his own spell list.


Major ArcanaEdit

The wizard may add any one 4th- or 5th-level spell to his spellbook as a 3rd-level spell. He may make scrolls with this spell as though it were a 3rd-level spell, but only he may use those scrolls. He may not create a wand or potion with that spell.
